SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Brande "Boo" Erin Akers of Rome, who 
4
passed away on March 10, 2010; and
  
 
5
    WHEREAS, Brande Akers was born on June 13, 1979, in Peoria; 
6
and
  
 
7
    WHEREAS, Brande Akers attended the Peoria Developmental 
8
Center for 18 years; and
  
 
9
    WHEREAS, Brande Akers befriended everyone she met through 
10
her great big grin and greeted everyone who tousled her hair 
11
with a giggle; and
  
 
12
    WHEREAS, Brande Akers enjoyed music, especially music on 
13
the riverfront, Janis Joplin, the bagpipes, and Celtic Woman; 
14
she was as adventurous as her physical capabilities would allow 
15
her or as far as her father would take her; and
  
 
16
    WHEREAS, Brande Akers was preceded in death by her 
17
grandparents, Frank and Evelyn Akers and Boyce and Libbie Lovan 
18
Sr.; and her uncle, Mike Lovan; and
 
19
    WHEREAS, Brande Akers is survived by her loving parents,

Robert "Bob" and Mary C. Lovan Akers; her aunts and uncles,

Fran Pierce, Frank (Ellen) Akers, Carole Stephens, Bill (Carol)

Marti (Larry) Coates, Bill (Jennifer) Lovan, Bob (Elizabeth)

Lovan, Deb (James) Jackson, Brenda (Matt) Jackson; and her many

cousins; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
8
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
9
her family and friends, the passing of Brande "Boo" Erin Akers; 
10
and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12
presented to the family of Brande Akers as an expression of our 
13
sympathy.
