| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of
William W. Haig; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, William Haig served his country with pride and |
| 5 |
| distinction as a member of the United States Army; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, William Haig attended DePaul Academy and DePaul |
| 7 |
| University; he enjoyed participating in the DePaul men's |
| 8 |
| basketball golf outing each year; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, William Haig was employed with the Chicago Public |
| 10 |
| School system as a teacher at Lakeview High School for 30 |
| 11 |
| years; he also served as a baseball and football coach during |
| 12 |
| his teaching years; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, William Haig was the beloved husband of Josette |
| 14 |
| for 48 years; the loving father of Christopher (Janet) and |
| 15 |
| Anthony (Riikka); the devoted grandfather of Dylan and Ryan; |
| 16 |
| the brother-in-law of Connie (Frank) Spenko; and the loving |
| 17 |
| uncle of Matthew (Elizabeth); therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |

| his family and friends, the passing of William W. Haig; and be |
