SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, State Senator Iris Y. Martinez and the members of 
3
the Illinois Senate are saddened to  learn of the death of

4
Graciela J. Juarez of Springfield, who passed away on December 
5
2, 2009; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was born on October 1, 1931, in 
7
Lima, Peru; she was the daughter of Alberto and Angelica 
8
Espinoza Alzamora; she married Oswaldo Juarez in 1946; and
  
 
9
    WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was employed in the Peruvian 
10
public school district for 36 years; after retirement, she and 
11
her husband came to the United States to be near her family; 
12
and
  
 
13
    WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was a member of the Central 
14
Illinois Chapter of National Image Inc. and the St. Katherine 
15
Drexel Parish in Springfield; and
  
 
16
    WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was preceded in death by her 
17
husband, Oswaldo; her son, Nicolas; her daughter, Maria Juarez; 
18
her brothers, Luis, Rafael, and Cesar; and her parents; and
  
 
19
    WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez is survived by her sons, Victor 
20
(wife, Daisy) Juarez, Daniel (wife, Suzanne Brown) Juarez, and

Manuel (wife, Leia Ambra) Juarez; her daughters: Rosa Juarez 
2
and Clara Juarez; her 13 grandchildren and 10 
3
great-grandchildren; her brothers, Dr. Nicolas (wife, Teresa)

Alzamora, Guillermo (wife, Maria) Alzamora, and Luis (wife, 
5
Olga) Alzamora; her sisters, Carmen Delgado, Rosa Alzamora 
6
(husband, Raul) Rosadio, and Delia (husband, Ricardo) Ramirez; 
7
and her many nieces, nephews, and in-laws; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
9
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
10
her family and friends, the passing of Graciela J. Juarez; and 
11
be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13
presented to the family of Graciela Juarez as an expression of 
14
our sympathy.
