| WHEREAS, State Senator Iris Y. Martinez and the members of |

| the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of
|

| Graciela J. Juarez of Springfield, who passed away on December |
| 5 |
| 2, 2009; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was born on October 1, 1931, in |
| 7 |
| Lima, Peru; she was the daughter of Alberto and Angelica |
| 8 |
| Espinoza Alzamora; she married Oswaldo Juarez in 1946; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was employed in the Peruvian |
| 10 |
| public school district for 36 years; after retirement, she and |
| 11 |
| her husband came to the United States to be near her family; |
| 12 |
| and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was a member of the Central |
| 14 |
| Illinois Chapter of National Image Inc. and the St. Katherine |
| 15 |
| Drexel Parish in Springfield; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez was preceded in death by her |
| 17 |
| husband, Oswaldo; her son, Nicolas; her daughter, Maria Juarez; |
| 18 |
| her brothers, Luis, Rafael, and Cesar; and her parents; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Graciela Juarez is survived by her sons, Victor |
| 20 |
| (wife, Daisy) Juarez, Daniel (wife, Suzanne Brown) Juarez, and |
