SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Carl Ziemer of Wyoming, Illinois, who 
4
passed away on November 20, 2009; and
  
 
5
    WHEREAS, Carl Ziemer was born on May 31, 1961, in Peoria; 
6
his parents were Orville and Phyllis (Terry) Ziemer; and
  
 
7
    WHEREAS, Carl Ziemer was employed as a truck driver for 
8
Brubaker Trucking of Goodfield; he also worked for Harmon 
9
Farms, Cahill Farms, and Adlai Stevenson Farms and was involved 
10
in various family farm operations; and
  
 
11
    WHEREAS, Carl Ziemer earned an associate degree in diesel 
12
mechanics; and
  
 
13
    WHEREAS, Carl Ziemer attended Stark Congregational Church; 
14
and
 
15
    WHEREAS, Carl Ziemer was preceded in death by his mother; 
16
and
  
 
17
    WHEREAS, Carl Ziemer is survived by his father; his 
18
fiancee, Mary Jane Streitmatter; his siblings, Alice (Dennis) 
19
Maher, Linda (Jim) Legg, Henry Ziemer, Mary (Jerry) Barden,

Elizabeth Hudson, and Vicki (Jeff) Atherton; and his nieces and 
2
nephews, Eric and Tony Legg, Jennifer, Diana, and George

Hudson, and James and Sarah Maher; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
his family and friends, the passing of Carl Ziemer; and be it 
7
further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Carl Ziemer as an expression of our 
10
sympathy.
