| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of
Cletus Henkhaus, who passed away on |
| 4 |
| October 7, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Cletus Henkhaus was born on February 19, 1923, in |
| 6 |
| Alton; he was the son of Victor and Hilda (Rosin) Henkhaus; he |
| 7 |
| married the former Betty Danneman on May 8, 1943, at St. |
| 8 |
| Patrick's Catholic Church; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Cletus Henkhaus graduated from Marquette Catholic |
| 10 |
| High School in 1941; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Cletus Henkhaus was employed as a first class |
| 12 |
| maintenance repairman for Illinois Power Company for 19 years; |
| 13 |
| he was previously employed with Shell Oil as a machinist for 20 |
| 14 |
| years; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Cletus Henkhaus was a member of St. Ambrose |
| 16 |
| Catholic Church in Godfrey and a lifetime member of the Alton |
| 17 |
| Knights of Columbus; he enjoyed spending time with his family |
| 18 |
| and friends; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Cletus Henkhaus was preceded in death by his |
| 20 |
| parents; his brother, Tom Henkhaus; and his sister and |
|
|

| WHEREAS, Cletus Henkhaus is survived by his wife; his |

| Harshbarger, and Tom (Doris) Dooley; his grandchildren, Randy |

| Henkhaus, Kim Trossauer, Kelly Stutz, Lisa Scheffel, David, |
| 8 |
| Matthew, and Michael Wolff, Julie Cheek, Adam Higgins, Jeremy |
| 9 |
| and Jason Henkhaus, Amy Cole, Emily Mayberry, Carrie Alverno, |

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL |
| 17 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
| 18 |
| his family and friends, the passing of Cletus Henkhaus; and be |
| 19 |
| it further
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 21 |
| presented to the family of Cletus Henkhaus as an expression of |
| 22 |
| our sympathy.
