| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Kurt E. Kampendahl of Antioch, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on February 15, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born October 15, 1949 in Chicago, the son |
| 6 |
| of Einar and Violet (Hahndorf) Kampendahl; he graduated from |
| 7 |
| Eureka College in Peoria with a degree in biology; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, On April 21, 1979 he married Karen A. Korbal in |
| 9 |
| Wauconda; before moving to Antioch in 1985 he had lived in |
| 10 |
| Vernon Hills; Kurt worked as a senior software associate for |
| 11 |
| the AVAYA Corporation and also worked part time for 10 years |
| 12 |
| for Bass Pro Shops; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, He loved football and played semi-pro and coached |
| 14 |
| for the Racine Raiders and other teams for 22 years until he |
| 15 |
| was 42 years old; he also was an avid fisherman; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Einar |
| 17 |
| Kampendahl; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Kurt Kampendahl is survived by his wife of nearly |
| 19 |
| 30 years, Karen; his son, Kurt E. II (Bethany); his daughter, |
| 20 |
| Kelly; his mother, Violet Kampendahl; his brother, Karl; and |
