| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of Brother
Paul McGinnis of Metropolis, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on February 15, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Paul McGinnis was a retired Baptist Minister, |
| 6 |
| having served churches in the Metropolis area for 51 years; he |
| 7 |
| planned and served on more than 200 mission trips to Jamaica |
| 8 |
| and Antigua; he was also devoted to World Changers Leadership |
| 9 |
| and the Illinois Baptist Disaster Relief Ministry; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Paul McGinnis owned and operated McGinnis Heating |
| 11 |
| for 35 years; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Paul McGinnis was preceded in death by his |
| 13 |
| parents, Clarence and Orphia Howard McGinnis; his brothers, |
| 14 |
| Earl Laverne McGinnis and Loren McGinnis; and his sister, Helen |
| 15 |
| McGinnis Shelton; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Paul McGinnis is survived by his wife of 55 years, |
| 17 |
| Jane Fuqua McGinnis; his sons, David McGinnis and his wife, |
| 18 |
| Connie, and Duane McGinnis and his wife, Mic; his daughter, |
| 19 |
| Beth Meinders and her husband, Randy; his granddaughter, Leslie |
| 20 |
| McGinnis Peternell and her husband, Ryan; his brothers, Howard |
| 21 |
| and Lindell McGinnis; his sister-in-law, Lorena McGinnis; and |
