| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of Elizabeth "Bette" Bund of Alton, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on February 6, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born June 7, 1924, in Springfield, |
| 6 |
| Massachusetts, to the late James and Kathryn (O'Donnell) |
| 7 |
| O'Neill; she married William F. Bund Jr. on December 9, 1944, |
| 8 |
| in Boston; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and |
| 10 |
| a past member of the P.T.A. for Alton's First School District; |
| 11 |
| she loved to sail, swim, and garden; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, William; |
| 13 |
| her parents; and her daughter, Kathryn (Bund) Johnson; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Elizabeth Bund is survived by her daughter and her |
| 15 |
| husband, Elizabeth and George Grant; her son and his wife, |
| 16 |
| William F. and Diane Bund III; her ten grandchildren, George, |
| 17 |
| Sarah, Gavin, Brian, and Elizabeth Grant, Jay and Bill Johnson, |
| 18 |
| and Billy, Bryan, and Blair Bund; her twelve |
| 19 |
| great-grandchildren; her many nieces and nephews; and her |
| 20 |
| son-in-law, Jim Johnson; therefore, be it
