| AN ACT concerning flags.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Flag Display Act is amended by changing |
| 5 |
| Section 4 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (5 ILCS 465/4) (from Ch. 1, par. 3306)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 4.
The flags used by any and all state institutions, |
| 8 |
| as provided
for in this act, shall be paid for out of the funds |
| 9 |
| appropriated for the
running expenses of said institutions, the |
| 10 |
| same as other necessary
supplies are bought and paid for, and |
| 11 |
| the flags for use over court
houses and public school buildings |
| 12 |
| are hereby declared to be necessary
supplies, and may be paid |
| 13 |
| for out of the public funds of the respective
counties or |
| 14 |
| school districts. No State institution or agency may purchase |
| 15 |
| any American flags except those manufactured in the Unites |
| 16 |
| State of America.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |

| becoming law.
