| AN ACT concerning business.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Franchise Disclosure Act of 1987 is amended |
| 5 |
| by changing Section 21 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| Sec. 21. Franchise Advisory Board. There is created in the
|
| 8 |
| the Office of
the Administrator a Franchise Advisory Board. The |
| 9 |
| Franchise Advisory Board
shall consist of such members as the |
| 10 |
| Administrator deems appropriate to
advise him on franchising |
| 11 |
| and franchise related matters. The members shall
be persons who |
| 12 |
| have knowledge and experience in franchising. The members
of |
| 13 |
| the Franchise Advisory Board shall serve at the pleasure of the
|
| 14 |
| Administrator. The Franchise Advisory Board from time to time |
| 15 |
| shall make
recommendations concerning the administration and |
| 16 |
| enforcement of this Act.
Members of the Franchise Advisory |
| 17 |
| Board shall serve without compensation
but shall be reimbursed |
| 18 |
| for actual and necessary expenses incurred in their
official |
| 19 |
| capacities. The Board shall select its own chairman, establish
|
| 20 |
| rules and procedures, and keep a record of matters transpiring |
| 21 |
| at all meetings. |
