| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The Uniform Commercial Code is amended by |

| changing Section 1-104 as follows:

| unified coverage of its subject matter, no part of it shall be |

| such construction can reasonably be avoided.
