| AN ACT concerning housing.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Housing Authorities Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 3.1 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (310 ILCS 10/3.1) (from Ch. 67 1/2, par. 3.1)

| Sec. 3.1.
In any municipality having over 500,000 |
| 8 |
| inhabitants, there
shall be created a Housing Authority City |
| 9 |
| Wide Residents' Advisory Board
which shall be composed of each |
| 10 |
| Local Advisory Council member who
represents a development unit |
| 11 |
| within the
the municipality. The Board shall
advise the Housing |
| 12 |
| Authority on residents' concerns over housing
development |
| 13 |
| operations and program services. The Board shall also
recommend |
| 14 |
| new programs to the Housing Authority and evaluate existing
|
| 15 |
| programs. The Board shall report to the Housing Authority on a |
| 16 |
| quarterly
basis. |
