HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to honor Timothy Andrew Evans for 
4his service as a member of the United States Marine Corps; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Timothy Evans was born on June 1, 1988, to Thomas 
6A. Evans and Rita L. Evans; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Timothy Evans graduated from Saint Catherine of 
8Alexandria School in 2002; he subsequently graduated from 
9Brother Rice High School in 2006; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Timothy Evans joined the United States Marine 
11Corps in November of 2008; he was subsequently deployed to 
12Afghanistan in May of 2009; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Timothy Evans was awarded the Purple Heart for 
14wounds he received in action in Afghanistan on August 15, 2009; 
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Timothy Evans' family, which includes his 
17parents, his siblings, Matthew and Maribeth, and grandparents, 
18Henry and Margaret Evans and John and Theresa Spatz, are all 
19undoubtedly proud of him and his service to our nation; and

1    WHEREAS, Timothy Evans serves as a model of hard work, 
2integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
3Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6honor Timothy Andrew Evans for his service and wish him success 
7and happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Timothy Evans  as a symbol of our esteem and 
10respect.
