HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Renee Bradford, 
4President and Chief Executive Officer of C'est Si Bon! Ltd. of 
5Chicago, on twenty years of successful business; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, She is a Chicago native and lifelong Bronzeville 
7neighborhood resident; she left a very successful career in 
8corporate America to start her own business in December of 
91990; with an MBA from  Columbia University in New York and a 
10love for cooking, she opened C'est Si Bon!, a catering and 
11tailor-made gift basket business in the Hyde Park neighborhood; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, C'est Si Bon! is located at 643 East 47th Street; 
14combining Cajun and American foods, Renee's Southern Comfort 
15Chicken, Collard Greens in a Tomato Cup, and Sweet Potato 
16Cheesecake are specialities of the restaurant; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, The world was introduced to C'est Si Bon! Ltd 
18during the Taste of Chicago, where  Renee created a unique 
19Collard Green Egg Roll, Sweet Potato Biscuit, and Cajun 
20Meatball; and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, The catering side of the business holds a number

1of daily events ranging from box lunches, private home dinners, 
2and corporate luncheons in the Loop to a tented sit-down meal 
3for hundreds; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, The English translation of the French "C'est Si 
5Bon" is "It's So Good"; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8congratulate Renee Bradford on 20 years of successful business 
9and wish her continued success for years to come; and be it

11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Renee Bradford as a symbol of our respect and 
13esteem.
