| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are pleased to honor Bishop Charles L. Little |
| 4 | | for his work and dedication to his church and his community; |
| 5 | | and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little is a former naval officer; |
| 7 | | following his retirement from active duty in 1945, he settled |
| 8 | | in Chicago, where he worked and began his Christian walk with |
| 9 | | the Lord; in the early 1970s, he was called as the pastor to |
| 10 | | lead the congregation of God's House for All Nations; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little has more than 50 years in |
| 12 | | the ministry and has dedicated his life to serving God to the |
| 13 | | fullness of his potential through the spreading of the Gospel |
| 14 | | and equipping young men and women of God with Christian values, |
| 15 | | family morals, and strong work ethics; his fervent and |
| 16 | | effective prayers have been the catalyst for a thriving |
| 17 | | ministry; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little is well known among his |
| 19 | | peers for his passionate support of community and education; he |
| 20 | | has also supported and organized numerous food drives, clothing |
| 21 | | drives, tutoring programs, and financial assistance programs; |
| 22 | | and |
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little has dedicated countless |
| 2 | | hours to teaching, counseling, and praying for the incarcerated |
| 3 | | and ex-offenders who had difficulty coping or finding their way |
| 4 | | back into society; he has helped to comfort many ailing people |
| 5 | | in nursing homes, hospitals, and sick beds whenever he was |
| 6 | | called or felt compelled to go; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little's loving wife of 54 years, |
| 8 | | First Lady Corine Little, has been a faithful supporter of her |
| 9 | | husband's ministry for more than 50 years; she has worked |
| 10 | | tirelessly both in and outside of the church; in addition to |
| 11 | | her work in various committees and boards at God's House for |
| 12 | | All Nations, she is known for her anointed motivational |
| 13 | | speaking, which has touched and changed many lives for God |
| 14 | | throughout the years; she has worked passionately with unwed |
| 15 | | mothers, young women in need, and members of her congregation; |
| 16 | | she has also visited the sick in hospitals and institutions and |
| 17 | | supported and organized a number of charitable programs; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Bishop Charles Little serves as a model of hard |
| 19 | | work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of |
| 20 | | Illinois; therefore, be it
