HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Susan Kuse on the 
4occasion of winning the Barbara Whitney Carr Excellence in 
5Leadership Award from the Chicago Botanic Garden; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Barbara Whitney Carr Excellence in Leadership 
7Award is presented to dedicated volunteers who show innovation 
8and provide excellent leadership with outstanding results 
9towards a new Chicago Botanic Garden program or project; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Susan Kuse began her commitment to volunteer 
11service at the Chicago Botanic Garden's Center for Teaching and 
12Learning in 2005; she has given nearly 1,300 hours of service 
13to the Chicago Botanic Garden and has participated in the 
14development of numerous off-site Garden programs; she has also 
15worked with the Garden's School Programs department and has 
16volunteered to support the Garden's Fairchild Challenge, 
17teacher conferences, and Japanese Garden festivals, among 
18others; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Susan Kuse serves as a model of hard work, 
20integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
21Illinois; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3congratulate Susan Kuse on the occasion of winning the Barbara 
4Whitney Carr Excellence in Leadership Award from the Chicago 
5Botanic Garden and wish her continued success and happiness in 
6the future; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Susan Kuse as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
