HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Mary Sendra 
4
Anselmo on being elected the President of the Polish American 
5
Congress, Illinois Division; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, The Polish American Congress of the Illinois 
7
Division is a "Statewide umbrella" Organization, representing 
8
a political lobbying force of at least one million Americans of 
9
Polish descent and origin; and
  
 
10
    WHEREAS, Mary Sendra Anselmo is currently employed with the 
11
Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County and has served as the 
12
Chief Deputy Clerk of Training and Development for the past 8 
13
years, making her experienced in the government process in the 
14
State of Illinois; and
  
 
15
    WHEREAS, She has been a member of the Polish American 
16
Congress since 1998; she served as vice-president of the 
17
Illinois Chapter for 5 years as well as one year on the 
18
national level of the Polish American Congress; and
  
 
19
    WHEREAS, She has chaired the Heritage Banquets, the Pulaski 
20
Day Celebrations, and assisted with the Candidate's Night; she 
21
has been a part of many projects directed from the previous

President of the Illinois Division as well as the national

President; and

    WHEREAS, Mary Sendra Anselmo is married to Henry Anselmo 
4
and they have two sons, Henry and Christopher; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7
congratulate Mary Sendra Anselmo on her election to the 
8
position of President of the Polish American Congress, Illinois 
9
Division, and wish her the best in all future endeavors; and be 
10
it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12
presented to Mary Sendra Anselmo as a symbol of our respect and 
13
esteem.
