HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the owners and 
4
employees of Berger Transfer & Storage on the occasion of the 
5
company's 100th anniversary in 2010; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, Since 1910, Berger Transfer & Storage has 
7
delivered quality transportation services to individuals, 
8
corporations, and government agencies throughout the nation; 
9
utilizing more than 600 vans and 19 locations across the 
10
nation, Berger coordinates and moves nearly 24,000 families a 
11
year; Berger Transfer has serviced over one million moves 
12
throughout the country in its 100-year history; and
  
 
13
    WHEREAS, Each Berger Transfer & Storage office is an active 
14
member of the area Chamber of Commerce and supports its 
15
community by donating funds, equipment and services to many 
16
worthy causes, such as the United Way, Make a Wish Foundation, 
17
Junior Achievements, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, 
18
March of Dimes, and the Special Olympics; and
  
 
19
    WHEREAS, Berger Transfer & Storage will celebrate the 
20
company's 100th anniversary with open house celebrations at 
21
each of its 19 locations nationwide on May 13, 2010; and

    WHEREAS, The owners and employees of Berger Transfer & 
2
Storage serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication 
3
for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6
congratulate the owners and employees of Berger Transfer & 
7
Storage on the occasion of the company's 100th anniversary and 
8
wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be 
9

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

presented to Berger Transfer & Storage as a symbol of our 
12
esteem and respect.
