HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are saddened at the death of
United States Army 
4
Private First Class Michael S. Pearson of Bolingbrook, who 
5
passed away on November 5, 2009 at Fort Hood, Texas; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, Michael Pearson was born on February 6, 1987 in 
7
Bolingbrook; he attended Bernard J. Ward Middle School and 
8
graduated from Bolingbrook High School in 2006; and
  
 
9
    WHEREAS, Michael Pearson served in the United States Army 
10
since September 25, 2008 and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas; 
11
and
  
 
12
    WHEREAS, Michael Pearson was, as a child, full of laughter 
13
and curiosity; he was taught to play the guitar by his father, 
14
and in turn taught guitar to his friends; he also participated 
15
in the martial arts as a hobby; and
  
 
16
    WHEREAS, He was an inspirational role model and a mentor to 
17
his nieces and nephews; he had a zest for life and found a 
18
friend in everyone he met; he was a true patriot, who loved 
19
people and was loved by people; and
 
20
    WHEREAS, Private First Class Michael Pearson is survived by

his parents, Sheryll and Jeff Pearson; he was the devoted 
2
brother of Jason, Kristopher, and Julie; the cherished uncle of 
3
Trent, George, Arianna, Tristen, Angelina, Gabriel, Dylan, 
4
Amanda, Nicholas, Isabella, and Noah; and he is also survived 
5
by numerous cousins and dear friends; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8
mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of United 
9
States Army Private First Class Michael Pearson; and be it 
10
further
  
 
11
    RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Private First Class 
12
Michael Pearson and  his willingness to serve our country, which 
13
led to him making  the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further
 
14
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
15
presented to the family of Private First Class Michael Pearson 
16
as an expression of our sympathy.
