HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate  the Lady Saints 
4
Basketball team from Central Catholic High School in 
5
Bloomington on their 2009-2010 championship season; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, The Lady Saints had 32 season wins and their 
7
overall season record was 32-1; and
  
 
8
    WHEREAS, The Lady Saints season record included victories 
9
in the Inter-city tournament where the Lady Saints were 
10
back-to-back champions, and in the State Farm Holiday Classic 
11
where they were also back-to-back champions; and
  
 
12
    WHEREAS, The Lady Saints were back-to-back champions of the 
13
Corn Belt Conference and won the State Regional title, the 
14
State Super Sectional title, and the State Class 2-A girls' 
15
basketball championship; and
  
 
16
    WHEREAS, The State Champion Lady Saints are led by Head 
17
Coach Debbie Coffman, Assistant Varsity Head Coaches Mendy 
18
Smith and Rachel Galligan, and Assistant Coaches Shari Mitchell 
19
and Jason Davis; and
  
 
20
    WHEREAS, The Lady Saints are Kelly Curran, Lindsay Stopa,

Allie Norton, Danielle Davis, Carly Norton, Kathleen Alkire,

Maggie Hayes, Morgan Smith, Emily Beoletto, Jess Reinhart,

Means; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7
congratulate the Lady Saints on their championship season and 
8
wish them continued success in the future; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10
presented to the Lady Saints Basketball Team as a symbol of our 
11
respect and esteem.
