HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to recognize Bandit, a member of 
4
the K-9 response team, with the Warrenville Police Department, 
5
on his retirement on June 5, 2010; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, Bandit started on the streets on May 1, 2002; 
7
during his years of service he placed second 4 times in yearly 
8
certification events; and
  
 
9
    WHEREAS, Bandit searched buildings, cars, and individuals 
10
in the search for drugs, counting over 800 such searches during 
11
his career; and
  
 
12
    WHEREAS, Bandit located over two pounds of marijuana, one 
13
kilo of cocaine/crack, and a dozen ecstasy pills; he was 
14
responsible for over 12 suspect captures in Warrenville and 
15
surrounding communities; and
  
 
16
    WHEREAS, Bandit has received numerous departmental 
17
citations for his hard work and was recognized by the 416th 
18
Theater Engineer Command of the United States Army for his 
19
efforts; and
  
 
20
    WHEREAS, Bandit, along with his partner, Corporal Komar,

are the founding members of the F.I.A.T. K-9 response team; 
2
therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
congratulate Bandit on a job well done, for his years of 
6
successful police work, and for being an asset to the 
7
community; and be it further
  
 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to Corporal Komar on the behalf of Bandit, as a 
10
symbol of our respect.
