| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
United |
| 4 |
| States Army Sergeant Albert Ware of Chicago, who was killed in |
| 5 |
| action in Afghanistan on December 18, 2009; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Sgt. Albert Ware was born in Monrovia, Liberia; he |
| 7 |
| immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 and moved to |
| 8 |
| Chicago; he graduated from Corliss High School in 2002; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, In 2003, Sgt. Albert Ware made the decision to |
| 10 |
| serve his adopted country; he spent 2 1/2 years in the National |
| 11 |
| Guard before joining the Army; he was assigned to the 782nd |
| 12 |
| Combat Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team of the 82nd |
| 13 |
| Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina and hoped |
| 14 |
| to eventually become a member of the U.S. Army Rangers; he was |
| 15 |
| serving in his second tour in Afghanistan when he was |
| 16 |
| tragically killed; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Sgt. Albert Ware is survived by his wife, |
| 18 |
| Plichette; his children, T'John, Heaven, and Musu; his birth |
| 19 |
| mother, Massa Kamu of Monrovia, Liberia; his mother, Anna; his |
| 20 |
| father, Thomas; and his sister, Ciatta; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, Sgt. Albert Ware's patriotism and courage will be |
