HOUSE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Michael F. Desider 
4
of Boy Scout Troop 392 on the occasion of attaining the coveted 
5
rank of Eagle Scout; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Michael F. 
7
Desider has donated 120 pounds of food that he has personally 
8
grown himself to the Willow Creek Care Center/Food Pantry; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, While eating dinner at a local restaurant on 
10
November 20, 2006, Michael and his father noticed a disabled 
11
person nearby who began suffering a series of mini-strokes, and 
12
they were the only ones to recognize the signs;  Michael and his 
13
father then proceeded to give him on-site care by keeping him 
14
calm, preventing him from going into shock, and keeping the 
15
blood flowing to his head; they cared for him until the 
16
Schaumburg Fire Department arrived and took him to the 
17
hospital; as a result, both Michael and his father received a 
18
commendation for their actions, which likely saved the man's 
19
life; and
 
20
    WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout will be bestowed upon 
21
Michael F. Desider by the Boy Scouts of America at a Court of 
22
Honor ceremony on November 29, 2009; and

    WHEREAS, Michael F. Desider serves as a model of hard work, 
2
integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
3
Illinois; therefore, be it

 
4
    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6
congratulate Michael F. Desider of Boy Scout Troop 392 on the 
7
occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish 
8
him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it 
9
further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11
presented to Michael F. Desider as a symbol of our esteem and 
12
respect.
