| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Gary Roth on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of his retirement as an Administrative Assistant to | ||||||
| 5 | the Clerk of the Circuit Court in DuPage County; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Gary Roth was born on July 26, 1943; he graduated | ||||||
| 7 | from Reavis High School in 1961; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Gary Roth served as the Republican Committeeman | ||||||
| 9 | for the City of Chicago's 23rd Ward from 1966 to 1972; he has | ||||||
| 10 | served as the Downers Grove Township Precinct Committeeman | ||||||
| 11 | since 1976; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Gary Roth has had a long and distinguished career | ||||||
| 13 | in government; he was an employee of the Illinois Department of | ||||||
| 14 | Transportation for 14 years; in April of 1985, he was sworn in | ||||||
| 15 | as a Downers Grove Township Trustee, a position he served in | ||||||
| 16 | for 3 terms; in 1990, he accepted a position as an | ||||||
| 17 | Administrative Assistant to the Clerk of the Circuit Court in | ||||||
| 18 | DuPage County, a position he served in until his retirement; | ||||||
| 19 | and | ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Gary Roth has been an active member in his | ||||||
| 21 | community; he has been a supporter and volunteer for Special | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | Camps since 1995; he has been a member of the Hinsdale South | ||||||
| 2 | Booster Club Board for 4 years; he has served as an umpire for | ||||||
| 3 | the Darien Youth Club; he has been a volunteer for various | ||||||
| 4 | initiatives in Darien School District 61, Hinsdale School | ||||||
| 5 | District 86, and Burr Ridge CCSD 180; he has also devoted great | ||||||
| 6 | amounts of his time and effort to Relay for Life and the March | ||||||
| 7 | of Dimes; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Gary Roth has been a member of Lawn Lodge No. 815 | ||||||
| 9 | since 1977; he is also a member of the Our Lady of Peace Parish | ||||||
| 10 | in Darien; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, After his retirement, Gary Roth plans to spend | ||||||
| 12 | more time with his family, which includes his wife, Mary Anne, | ||||||
| 13 | his children, Ryan (Kerry) and Rene (Jason), and his loving | ||||||
| 14 | dog, Abbey; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 16 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 17 | congratulate Gary Roth on the occasion of his retirement and | ||||||
| 18 | wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it | ||||||
| 19 | further

| 20 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 21 | presented to Gary Roth as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
