HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate David Williams, 
4
Itasca Village Administrator, on his retirement; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, He is retiring after admirably serving the Village 
6
for nine years as Village Administrator; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Before working for Itasca, Mr. Williams worked for 
8
the Illinois State Police for thirty years, serving ten years 
9
as a colonel and department director; for two years he served 
10
as director of a law enforcement and government institute with 
11
the University of Illinois before coming to Itasca; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, He currently serves on the board of directors and 
13
several committees for the DuPage Mayors and Managers 
14
Conference; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, During his time with the Village, the design and 
16
completion of the new village hall and police department was 
17
finished and construction started on the new Itasca Riverwalk; 
18
and

 
19
    WHEREAS, In addition, he developed good relationships with 
20
State and regional agencies, aiding the Village in many of its

ventures; he plans to move to North Carolina with his wife, 
2
Roberta, upon his retirement; therefore, be it

 
3
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
congratulate David Williams on his retirement and wish him all 
6
the best in his future endeavors; and be it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to David Williams as a symbol of our respect.
