HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Florence A. Dittle 
4
on her retirement as Assistant Superintendent for Educational 
5
Services for Joliet Township High School District 204 after 
6
many years of service; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, She received her Teaching Certification and 
8
Bachelor of Arts degree from North Central College in 
9
Naperville; her Master of Science degree from Northern Illinois 
10
University in DeKalb; and an Educational Administration 
11
Certificate from Illinois State University in Normal; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, She began her teaching career in 1974, teaching 
13
American history and government at Lockport High School in 
14
Lockport; she went on to become a social studies teacher at 
15
Homer High School in Homer for several years, guidance 
16
counselor at Stagg High School in Palos Hills, guidance 
17
counselor and Associate Principal at Andrew High School in 
18
Tinley Park, and the Facilitator of Instruction in Consolidated 
19
High School District 230 in Orland Park, covering a total of 27 
20
years; and

 
21
    WHEREAS, She began her current position as Assistant 
22
Superintendent for Educational Services for Joliet Township

High School District 204 in 2002 and will retire on June 30, 
2
2009; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
congratulate Florence Dittle on her retirement and for her 
6
dedication to the education of young people in the State of 
7
Illinois; and be it further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to Florence Dittle as a symbol of our respect.
