HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, February 19, 2009 marked the 50th anniversary of 
3
the Manor Tool and Manufacturing Company, an organization that 
4
offers their customers complete support by designing stamping 
5
tooling to make metal stampings, deep-draw stampings, 
6
fabricated metal parts, and progressive die stampings; the 
7
company also provides machining, welding, and assembly 
8
services; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Manor Tool and Manufacturing began as a tool and 
10
die shop in 1959; the company has grown to become a first class 
11
deep drawn stamping company; equipped with 31 stamping presses, 
12
Manor Tool offers the services of sorting parts, inspection, 
13
and packaging; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Manor Tool and Manufacturing Company's 
15
engineering department works with customers' engineers to 
16
design the best parts, which results in the most cost-effective 
17
product; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, Manor also provides machining, welding, and 
19
assembly services; deep draw is a company specialty, in 
20
addition to all basic types of stampings; and

    WHEREAS, On May 15th, 2009, Manor Tool and Manufacturing

Co. celebrated its 50th year of service with an open house at 
2
the Manor facility, located at 9200 Ivanhoe Street in Schiller 
3
Park; therefore, be it

 
4
    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6
congratulate the owners, management, and employees of Manor 
7
Tool and Manufacturing Company on the occasion of the 
8
organization's 50th year of service; and be it further

 
9
    RESOLVED, That we designate the date of May 15, 2009 as 
10
"Manor Tool and Manufacturing Day" in the State of Illinois; 
11
and be it further
 
12
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13
presented to the Manor Tool and Manufacturing Company as a 
14
symbol of our esteem and respect.
