| WHEREAS, On December 11, 2008, the Williamsville Junior |

| High School Girls 7th Grade basketball team, the Bee-Bees, won |

| the IESA Girls Seventh Grade Class 3A State Basketball |

| Tournament, defeating Marshall Junior High School with a 39-16 |
| 6 |
| final score; and

| 7 |
| WHEREAS, The 2008 team was the first basketball team in |
| 8 |
| Williamsville Junior High School's history to win a State |
| 9 |
| championship title; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Due to the leadership of Coach Jess Buttry and |
| 11 |
| Assistant Coach Joe Fandel, the team was able to achieve an |
| 12 |
| overall season record of 25-2; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The Bee-Bees set several new State tournament |
| 14 |
| records by scoring the most points in tournament play (132 |
| 15 |
| points), setting the largest single game point margin (32 |
| 16 |
| points), allowing the fewest points in a title game (16), and |
| 17 |
| setting the largest point margin in a title game (23 points); |
| 18 |
| in addition, team member Jordan French set a record for most |
| 19 |
| individual points in a tournament game (19); and

| 20 |
| WHEREAS, The Williamsville Junior High School Girls 7th |

| Grade basketball team outscored their opponents 1,031 to 455 |
