Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. By July 1, 2010, requires each State agency to develop, and file with its chief procurement officer, a plan for the renegotiation of its procurement contracts. Effective immediately.

| AN ACT concerning finance.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 20-165 as follows:
|

| (30 ILCS 500/20-165 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 20-165. Contract renegotiation plans. By July 1, 2010, |
| 8 |
| each State agency subject to this Code must develop, and submit |
| 9 |
| to its chief procurement officer, a plan for the renegotiation |
| 10 |
| of each of its existing contracts for the procurement of goods |
| 11 |
| or services.
|
| 12 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 13 |
| becoming law.
