| AN ACT concerning local government.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Chicago Park District Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 1 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (70 ILCS 1505/1) (from Ch. 105, par. 333.1)
|

| Sec. 1.
The
The Chicago Park District shall be created and |
| 8 |
| established
immediately upon the adoption of this act as |
| 9 |
| hereinafter provided. Such
park district shall be in succession |
| 10 |
| to all park districts now existing
within the territory |
| 11 |
| included within the proposed Chicago Park District and
shall |
| 12 |
| exercise control over and supervise the operation of all parks,
|
| 13 |
| boulevards, ways and other public property now under the |
| 14 |
| jurisdiction of
any of said park districts. The Chicago Park |
| 15 |
| District shall comprise all of
the City of Chicago and such |
| 16 |
| territory located without the corporate limits
of the City of |
| 17 |
| Chicago as may be included in any existing park district
lying |
| 18 |
| partly within and partly without the limits of such city. |
