     Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that the Illinois Commerce Commission shall require that an electric utility with less than 2 million customers set the due date on the bills of non-residential customers to no less than 20 days after the date of the postmark on the bill.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended  by adding

Section 8-304.5 as follows:

    (220 ILCS 5/8-304.5 new)

    Sec. 8-304.5. Due date for bills of non-residential 
8
customers; utilities with less than 2 million customers. The 
9
Commission shall require that an electric utility with less 
10
than 2 million customers set the due date on the bills of 
11
non-residential customers to no less than 20 days after the 
12
date of the postmark on the bill.
