| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Children's Health Insurance Program Act is |
| 5 |
| amended by changing Section 15 as follows:
|

| Sec. 15. Operation of the Program. There is hereby created |
| 8 |
| a
Children's Health Insurance Program. The
The Program shall |

| operate subject
to appropriation and shall be administered by |
| 10 |
| the Department of Healthcare and Family Services. The |
| 11 |
| Department shall have the powers and authority granted to the
|
| 12 |
| Department under the Illinois Public Aid Code. The Department |
| 13 |
| may contract
with a Third Party Administrator or other entities |
| 14 |
| to administer and oversee
any portion of this Program. |
