    AN ACT concerning civil law.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 
3
represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by 
5
changing Section 2-407 as follows:

    Sec. 2-407. Nonjoinder and misjoinder of parties - Change 
8
of parties. No action shall be dismissed for misjoinder of 
9
parties, or dismissed
for nonjoinder of necessary parties 
10
without first affording reasonable
opportunity to add them as 
11
parties. New parties may be added and
and parties
misjoined may 
12
be dropped by order of the court, at any stage of the
cause, 
13
before or after judgment, as the ends of justice may require 
14
and
on terms which the court may fix.
