| AN ACT concerning elections.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 |
| 3-3 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (10 ILCS 5/3-3) (from Ch. 46, par. 3-3)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 3-3.
Every honorably discharged soldier or sailor who |
| 8 |
| is an
inmate of any soldiers' and sailors' home within the |
| 9 |
| State of Illinois, or
any person who is a resident of a |
| 10 |
| facility licensed or certified pursuant to the
Nursing Home |
| 11 |
| Care Act, or any person who is a resident of a |
| 12 |
| community-integrated living arrangement, as defined in Section |
| 13 |
| 3 of the Community-Integrated Living Arrangements Licensure |
| 14 |
| and Certification Act,
for 30 days or longer, and who is a |
| 15 |
| citizen of the United States and has
resided in this State and |
| 16 |
| in the election district 30 days next
preceding any election |
| 17 |
| shall be entitled to vote in the election
district in which any |
| 18 |
| such home or community-integrated living arrangement in which |
| 19 |
| he is an
inmate or resident is located, for all officers that |
| 20 |
| now are or hereafter may be
elected by the people, and upon all |
| 21 |
| questions that may be submitted to
the vote of the people: |
| 22 |
| Provided, that he shall declare upon oath, that it
was his bona |
| 23 |
| fide intention at the time he entered said home or |
