SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Craig of West Peoria, who 
4
passed away on January 4, 2009; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, He was born May 5, 1945, in Peoria, to Floyd and 
6
Pauline (Andrews) Craig; he married Barbara Behrens on July 24, 
7
1965; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Bob was the senior director of development for 
9
Community Workshop & Training Center, and previously was a 
10
manager and area supervisor at McDonald's for more than 20 
11
years; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, He was a board member of Share Food, chairman of 
13
the board for Harvest Food, a Peoria Chamber of Commerce 
14
Ambassador, and member of Knights of Columbus and West Peoria 
15
Neighborhood Watch; and he belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic 
16
Church; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by three brothers; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, Robert Craig is survived by his wife, Barbara; his 
19
sons, Joe (Teresa) Craig and John (Gail) Craig; his daughter, 
20
Jody (Jim) Nieukirk; his sister, Dorothy (John) Hanson; his

brothers, Ronald (June) Craig and John (Terri) Fisher; and his 
2
eight grandchildren; he lived for his grandkids, and will be 
3
sadly missed by his dog, Magnum; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
his family and friends, the passing of Robert Craig; and be it 
7
further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Robert Craig as a symbol of our 
10
sincere sympathy.
