SENATE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Timothy "Tim" Kangas of Beach Park, who 
4
passed away on September 29, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Tim was born February 21, 1959 in Waukegan and had 
6
lived in various locations throughout the United States, 
7
including Florida and Texas, before settling back in Waukegan; 
8
and

 
9
    WHEREAS, He attended St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran 
10
Church in Waukegan and was a Superintendent for Kangas 
11
Construction, a company owned by the late Antti Kangas, his 
12
father; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Tim was an avid pool player, enjoyed the outdoors, 
14
and loved animals; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, 
16
Jari Myllymaki; and his parents, Antti and Meeri (nee Ukkonen) 
17
Kangas; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, Timothy Kangas is survived by his two daughters, 
19
Rita Kangas and Meeri Kangas; his sister, Lise Myllymaki; his 
20
dear friend, Mario Garza; his nephews, Anthony and Steven

Myllymaki; his ex-wife, Edna Kangas; his dear companion, Peach; 
2
and various cousins in Finland, Germany, Illinois, and South 
3
Dakota; therefore, be it

 
4
    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
his family and friends, the passing of Timothy Kangas; and be 
7
it further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Timothy Kangas as a symbol of our 
10
sincere sympathy.
