SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Ronald J. Jonas of Huntley, who passed 
4
away on August 20, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Ronald J. Jonas was born on October 19, 1939 in 
6
Des Plaines; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Ronald J. Jonas was a valued and well-respected 
8
employee of the Bank of Buffalo Grove; he also served as a 
9
member of the Board of Directors and Membership Chairman of the 
10
Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as serving 7 
11
years as the chamber's president; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Ronald J. Jonas was involved in numerous civic 
13
activities, including the BGRA youth baseball program and the 
14
Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Ronald J. Jonas was the beloved husband of Judith 
16
A. (nee Gramit); the loving father of Michael D. Jonas, Matthew 
17
B. Jonas, and the late Michelle Jonas; the dear brother of 
18
William Jonas, Thomas (Caryl) Jonas, and the late Rosann Jonas 
19
Holbrook; and the fond uncle of many; and

 
20
    WHEREAS, Ronald J. Jonas' love of life and ability to live

it to the fullest endeared him to his family members, friends, 
2
and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in 
3
ways they will never forget; therefore, be it

 
4
    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
his family and friends, the passing of Ronald J. Jonas; and be 
7
it further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Ronald J. Jonas as an expression of 
10
our sympathy.
