| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Ramona Lee Napp of Godfrey, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on August 17, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born February 7, 1933, in Alton to LeeRoy |
| 6 |
| and Velma (King) Renfro; she married H.A. "Bud" Napp on May 10, |
| 7 |
| 1953, at the First Methodist Church in Alton; together they |
| 8 |
| celebrated 50 years of marriage before he passed away on |
| 9 |
| January 10, 2004; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, She graduated from Alton High School and worked at |
| 11 |
| the Shearburn Company and Monticello College; she had a |
| 12 |
| lifelong passion for swimming, serving as a lifeguard and |
| 13 |
| instructor and competing as a synchronized swimmer; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, She was a member of the Godfrey Community |
| 15 |
| Congregational United Church of Christ; she was a wonderful |
| 16 |
| cook and a consummate gardener; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Surviving are a son and his wife, Allan L. and |
| 18 |
| Honorable Kyle A. Napp; her three grandchildren whom she |
| 19 |
| adored, Ian, Aidan, and Grace Napp; and her sister-in-law, Mary |
| 20 |
| E. Blanchard; and she was blessed with the lifelong friendship |
| 21 |
| of Beverly Herzog and Donna McCoy; therefore, be it
