| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Robert B. Faje of Downers Grove, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on August 16, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was a veteran of the United States Army; and |
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, He was the manager of the Glenside Lady Vipers in |
| 7 |
| Glendale Heights and had coached girls softball for over 26 |
| 8 |
| years; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He began coaching softball after his daughter, |
| 10 |
| Tracey, began playing for the summer league team, the DOLLS; he |
| 11 |
| coached in the DOLLS organization for fifteen years, compiling |
| 12 |
| a record of 510 wins and 132 losses, including the years 1995, |
| 13 |
| 1996, and 1997, when his teams advanced to the National |
| 14 |
| Softball Association World Series; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, In 1997 he began his own traveling softball |
| 16 |
| program, the DuPage Power; in his final season his team posted |
| 17 |
| a record of 56 wins and 22 losses and won four tournament |
| 18 |
| titles; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack; and
|
