SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Donald Donohoo of East Alton, who passed 
4
away on April 19, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Donald Donohoo was born on March 18, 1957 in 
6
Alton; his parents were Richard "Dick" and Glenna (Bissell) 
7
Donohoo; he married the former Lynda White on April 10, 1976 in 
8
Wood River; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Donald Donohoo was the owner and operator of 
10
Donzo's Lounge in Wood River for 26 1/2 years; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, Donald Donohoo was a member of the Illinois Bar 
12
Association; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Donald Donohoo was an avid softball player for 30 
14
years; he sponsored softball teams for 25 years and was 
15
inducted into the A.S.A. Hall of Fame in 2005; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Donald Donohoo was preceded in death by his 
17
sister, Cheryl Lynne Donohoo; and
 
18
    WHEREAS, Donald Donohoo is survived by his wife; his 
19
parents; his daughter and her husband, Jennifer and Jono Thies;

his son, Jason Donohoo; his grandchild, Elias Thies; and his 
2
brother and his wife, Dan and Brenda Donohoo; therefore, be it

 
3
    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
4
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5
his family and friends, the passing of Donald Donohoo; and be 
6
it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to the family of Donald Donohoo as an expression of 
9
our sympathy.
