SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
William "Pat" Tierney III of Wood River, 
4
who passed away on April 5, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, William "Pat" Tierney III was born on July 23, 
6
1962 in Alton; his parents were William P. and Nancy Kay (Rye) 
7
Tierney Jr.; he married the former Brenda Estes on April 4, 
8
1992 in Bethalto; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, William "Pat" Tierney III worked as a service 
10
technician for Coca Cola for 19 1/2 years; he was a member of 
11
the Teamsters Union in St. Louis and the Bethalto Christian 
12
Church; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, William "Pat" Tierney III loved practical jokes 
14
and watching NASCAR; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, William "Pat" Tierney III was preceded in death by 
16
his paternal grandfather, William Patrick Tierney Sr.; and his 
17
maternal grandparents, Frank and Rachel Rye; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, William "Pat" Tierney III is survived by his wife; 
19
his grandmother, Nona Alverda Tierney; his daughter and her 
20
husband, Krista and David Owens; his son, Jacob Nailor; his

grandchildren, David and Olivia Owens; his brother and his 
2
wife, Phillip and Stacy Tierney; his nephews, Phillip Tierney 
3
and Dustin Brown; his nieces, Kathleen Tierney and Roquel 
4
Brown; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jerry and 
5
Carolyn Estes; therefore, be it

 
6
    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
7
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
8
his family and friends, the passing of William "Pat" Tierney 
9
III; and be it further

 
10
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11
presented to the family of William "Pat" Tierney III as an 
12
expression of our sympathy.
