| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Cinto Martinez of Waukegan, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on February 2, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born in Orrick, a small town outside of |
| 6 |
| Kansas City, Missouri, on September 11, 1915; he later moved to |
| 7 |
| Waukegan and graduated from Waukegan Township High School in |
| 8 |
| 1934; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He was married to the former Mildred Mordhorst for |
| 10 |
| 54 years until her passing; he worked for Johns-Manville and |
| 11 |
| later Mordhorst Movers (later Crown Moving & Storage); he |
| 12 |
| retired as manager in 1980, where he was known to the men as |
| 13 |
| "Chief"; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of the Moose Lodge and |
| 15 |
| past-president of the Lions Club; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; his |
| 17 |
| mother and father, Ines Rios Martinez and Pablo Vasquez; and |
| 18 |
| his siblings. Albert, Mike, Lorenzo, Antonette, and Lillian; |
| 19 |
| and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, He is survived by his only child, Jim (Dianne) |
