| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of Alice Elizabeth Ruesch (nee Ames) of |
| 4 |
| Zion, who passed away on March 10, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Alice was born October 6, 1914, in Wadsworth and |
| 6 |
| was a graduate of Warren Township High School; she married Carl |
| 7 |
| Ruesch on September 14, 1935, and along with her husband was a |
| 8 |
| founding member of Lakeview Church in Zion; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Alice was employed as an assistant chef at Glen |
| 10 |
| Flora Country Club in Waukegan during World War I and World War |
| 11 |
| II; she later became a housewife and was very active in |
| 12 |
| Lakeview Church; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl |
| 14 |
| Ruesch; her granddaughter, Reyna Ruesch; her grandson, Timothy |
| 15 |
| Goodwin; her brother, George Pulver; her sister, Grace Theiss; |
| 16 |
| her brother, Alvin Ames; her sister, Madess Gust; her brother, |
| 17 |
| Fremont Ames; her sister, Marceline Herman; her brother, |
| 18 |
| Mortimer Ames; her sister, Margaret Ames; and her father and |
| 19 |
| mother, Edgar and Emma Ames; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Howard) |

| Goodwin, David (Monica) Ruesch, Don (Mari) Ruesch, and Julie |
