| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of
United States Naval Academy Midshipman |
| 4 |
| Second Class Anthony J. Valliere of Palatine, who passed away |
| 5 |
| on January 26, 2008; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Anthony J. Valliere was born on November 3, 1986 |
| 7 |
| in Norfolk, Virginia; and |
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Anthony J. Valliere was a 2005 graduate of Fremd |
| 9 |
| High School in Palatine, where he was known as an outstanding |
| 10 |
| student who participated in football, baseball, soccer, and the |
| 11 |
| marching band; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Anthony J. Valliere was completing his third year |
| 13 |
| at the United States Naval Academy; he aspired to become an |
| 14 |
| officer in the United States Marine Corps; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Anthony J. Valliere was an Eagle Scout who was |
| 16 |
| always looking to help others and the community at large; and |
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Anthony J. Valliere is the beloved son of Captain |
| 18 |
| Claude, U.S. Navy, and Pamela; the loving brother of Benedict, |
| 19 |
| Christine, and Monique; the dear grandson of Alice Valliere and |
| 20 |
| Nicola Russo; and the dear step-grandson of Clifford Peterson; |
