| 2 |  |     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  | 
| 3 |  | learn of the death of Arnette Harmon Moseberry of Chicago, who  | 
| 4 |  | passed away December 22, 2007; and
 | 
| 5 |  |     WHEREAS, She was born June 27, 1927, in Holly Springs,  | 
| 6 |  | Mississippi to the late Louis Harmon Sr. and Mary James Harmon;  | 
| 7 |  | at an early age she began attending Ebenezer Baptist Church,  | 
| 8 |  | where she accepted Jesus Christ into her life; as an adult she  | 
| 9 |  | worshipped at Greater Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church;  | 
| 10 |  | she converted to Catholicism and became a member of St.  | 
| 11 |  | Laurence Catholic Church and the Women of St. Laurence until  | 
| 12 |  | its closure; she then attended St. Ailbe Catholic Church; and
 | 
| 13 |  |     WHEREAS, She was educated at Forrestville Elementary  | 
| 14 |  | School and DuSable High School; on February 25, 1947 she was  | 
| 15 |  | united in marriage to William Moseberry Jr.; and
 | 
| 16 |  |     WHEREAS, She was a loyal employee of Oscar Mayer for twenty  | 
| 17 |  | years; after her retirement she worked for Eyes Around the  | 
| 18 |  | World Travel Agency, and traveled around the world; she was an  | 
| 19 |  | avid golfer; she was a member of the WASS Auxiliary (an  | 
| 20 |  | affiliate of the Chicago Boys Club), the Midwest Golf  | 
| 21 |  | Association, and the Chicago Women's Golf Club, where she  | 
| 22 |  | served as junior tournament director for the Bob-O-Links; in  |
