SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Josephine B. Werenski of North Chicago, 
4
who passed away on November 14, 2007; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Josephine B. Werenski was born on March 19, 1929 
6
in North Chicago; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Josephine B. Werenski was a homemaker who loved to 
8
knit and crochet; she loved to make pierogi and could always be 
9
counted on to make paczki for her friends, neighbors, and 
10
relatives on "Fat Tuesday" before Lent; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, Josephine B. Werenski was a member of The North 
12
Chicago American Legion Post #397; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Josephine B. Werenski was preceded in death by her 
14
husband, Emil; her brother, Anthony; and her sisters, Stella, 
15
Frances, and Lillian; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Josephine B. Werenski is survived by her 
17
daughters, Joan Peters and Kathy Deram-Clark; her 
18
grandchildren, Anne (Tade) Gerischer, Jennifer (Carlos) 
19
Martinez, Sarah (Luis) Delgado, John Deram, Eric Deram, and 
20
Tony Deram; her great-grandchildren, Adriana Martinez, Emma

and her brother, Walter; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL

ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5
her family and friends, the passing of Josephine B. Werenski; 
6
and be it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to the family of Josephine B. Werenski as an 
9
expression of our sympathy.
