SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Aimee Lacombe Twadell of Gurnee, who 
4
passed away on November 4, 2007; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Aimee Lacombe Twadell was born February 27, 1922, 
6
in New York, New York; she was an accomplished tennis player in 
7
her youth and her name was mentioned often in newspaper sports 
8
pages on Long Island where she grew up; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Aimee Twadell was retired from the Lake County 
10
Treasurer's Office in Waukegan, and from the Bethel Lutheran 
11
Church in Gurnee where she had been employed as an office 
12
worker; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, She was a loving and adoring mother, grandmother, 
14
and great-grandmother; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Aimee Twadell was preceded in death by her beloved 
16
son, Stephen Lacombe Twadell; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, Aimee Lacombe Twadell is survived by her sons, 
18
Mark (Marcia) Twadell, and David (Lisa) Twadell; her 
19
grandchildren, Dr. Eric (Anne) Twadell, Brian (Kelly) Twadell, 
20
Megan Twadell, Alex and Sara Twadell, and Kim (David) Kuhlman;

her nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Florence Morner; her 
2
niece, Aimee (Zoltan) Merszei; her nephew, Frederick Morner; 
3
her daughters-in-law, Dr. Ann Solari-Twadell and Carol Breyer; 
4
and her many friends; therefore, be it

 
5
    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
6
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
7
her family and friends, the passing of Aimee Lacombe Twadell; 
8
and be it further

 
9
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10
presented to the family of Aimee Lacombe Twadell as a symbol of 
11
our sympathy.
