| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Karen Page Steybe of Vernon Hills, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on September 7, 2007; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Karen Steybe was born on April 8, 1960 in Chicago; |
| 6 |
| she was a 1978 graduate of Arlington Heights High School and a |
| 7 |
| 1982 graduate of Purdue University, where she was a member of |
| 8 |
| the Alpha Delta Pi Alumni Association; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Karen Steybe was an active member of St. Mary of |
| 10 |
| Vernon Catholic Church, where she had been a catechist teacher |
| 11 |
| and bereavement minister; she was a past president of the |
| 12 |
| School District #103 PTO in Lincolnshire and was a former |
| 13 |
| manager for Sears-Allstate in Northbrook for five years; she |
| 14 |
| was also employed as a systems analyst for Anderson |
| 15 |
| Consulting-Accenture in Northbrook for 14 years; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Karen Page Steybe will be deeply |
| 17 |
| felt by those who knew and loved her, especially by her |
| 18 |
| husband, Jeffrey Steybe; her children, Ann Elizabeth and Eric |
| 19 |
| Andrew Steybe; and her parents, Erwin and Marcie Page; |
| 20 |
| therefore, be it
