SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
William Lyons of Hanna City, who passed 
4
away on August 8, 2007; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, William Lyons was born on April 8, 1930, in 
6
Harrisburg; his parents were Earl H. and Rosa E. Alexander 
7
Lyons; he married Mary Belle Harrison on November 30, 1952; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, William Lyons worked at Caterpillar Inc. in East 
9
Peoria for 33 years, retiring as a storage control clerk in 
10
1980; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, William Lyons was an active member of the Eagles 
12
Lodge and American Legion Post 979 in Bartonville; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, William Lyons was preceded in death by his sister, 
14
Mildred Putman; and his brothers, Marvin, Joe, and Frank Lyons; 
15
and

 
16
    WHEREAS, William Lyons is survived by his sons, Kevin Lyons 
17
and Cal (Joni) Lyons; his grandchildren, Callie (David) Jayne, 
18
Cara (Joel) Fulkerson, and Julie Lyons; his 
19
great-granddaughter, Audrey Claire Jayne; his brother, Kenneth 
20
Lyons; and his sister, Mary Lois (Carl) Harrison of East

Peoria; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
3
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
4
his family and friends, the passing of William Lyons; and be it 
5
further

 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to the family of William Lyons as an expression of 
8
our sympathy.
