| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, Mexico's President Felipe Calderon recently |
| 3 |
| announced a program to create work for Mexican citizens and |
| 4 |
| stem emigration to the United States; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, the work program will provide cash incentives to |
| 6 |
| companies that hire young workers and fund part of the workers' |
| 7 |
| social security benefits during the first year of employment; |
| 8 |
| and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, President Calderon hopes that the program will |
| 10 |
| enable low-income women to achieve true liberty and raise the |
| 11 |
| quality of life for Mexican families; therefore, be it
|
| 12 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL |
| 13 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that the Senate supports |
| 14 |
| President Calderon's program to create jobs for Mexican |
| 15 |
| citizens; and be it further
|
| 16 |
| RESOLVED, That the Senate supports a continuing dialogue |
| 17 |
| between the United States and Mexico concerning immigration to |
| 18 |
| the United States; and be it further
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, That copies of the resolution be sent to |
| 20 |
| President Felipe Calderon and to each member of the Illinois |
